What’s the process?
After you sign a contract, I email you a questionnaire so I can learn about your background. Then we schedule time to talk, typically by phone or Skype. From there, I write the poem and send you a draft for review. Photos are taken at a later time, and I put together the layout when all pieces are in place.
Can I use photos taken by my photographer?
Yes. I am happy to work with other photographers, particularly in distant locations. Give me a call to discuss.
Can I use my own photos?
Maybe. Some vintage photos are in excellent shape; others need significant retouching or restoration. Call me to discuss.
What’s the lead time for getting work done?
Ideally, I need six weeks lead time to make sure I produce the quality work you deserve.
What’s a diptych (or triptych)? How does it differ from a collage?
A diptych is two separate prints, designed to go side by side. A triptych is three separate prints, again designed to be displayed together. A collage is one print that has several items on it (a poem and multiple images). See Samples for examples.
Do my prints need to be custom framed?
No. I create prints in standard print dimensions that you can display in off-the-shelf frames (unless you request otherwise).
Can I get extra prints?
Yes. Just let me know. Family and friends often like to have a copy of your prints as keepsakes.
Are tax and shipping included?
No. These expenses will be added, depending on your location.
