Ask any writer what they did as a child and they will tell you what they read or wrote. My first writing love was poetry.
My interest in photography began at age eight when I won a camera by the having the smallest pet: baby toads. For many years, I was the photo historian for my family, but it was the emergence of digital photography that turned my interest into a passion.
When I listen to your stories, I watch for what lights you up. Those are the moments I want to capture. I shoot some photos, go home with a pile of notes, and noodle about what I’ve learned. An image emerges, a thread forms, and a poem begins.
